Compulsory health insurance in the canton of Solothurn

The Gemeinsame Einrichtung KVG is in charge of the complete examination of the insurance obligation of the inhabitants and border workers in the canton of Solothurn. We decide on requests of exemption from compulsory health insurance.

Border workers in the canton of Solothurn have to take out compulsory health insurance (KVG) within three months from taking up economic activity or they have to request exemption from compulsory health insurance at the Gemeinsame Einrichtung KVG (option right).
